Is anyone out there?

I know this community hasn't been active for a long time, but I thought if I posted, that maybe somebody would start talking. Sort of a "If you build it they will come" thing.

I've been quilting for awhile now, but am just starting to venture out into the world of art quilting. I'd love to talk with others about ideas and construction techniques and find inspiration, etc.

So, here's my latest:

The Paths to My Bliss, No.1

Composed of dusty pink cotton batik scraps, burgundy shot silk, varigated "fuschia" yarn, overlaid with coral pink silk tulle, quilted with gold embroidery thread. Called "No.1" because I think there's two more in my head/heart on this theme, although the other one I'm working on right now isn't part of this series.

More talky-talk at my blog.

Hope to hear from someone!

It's approximately 22 x 18 and is meant to represent the meandering path between my heart and brain. I've had some people say unprompted that it looks like a microscope slide, so, though I wasn't expecting such a literal translation - they seem to get what I'm trying to convey!
